First time here?
If you've never booked a Registered Massage appointment with us before, please choose the
60 minute INITIAL treatment option.
Cancellation or Rescheduling
When an appointment is booked, this time is reserved expecially for you.
Our Registered Massage Therapists (RMT) are self-employed practitioners. We often have clients on our waitlist and 24 hours notice is required as a courtesy not only to your Therapist, but for our staff to contact those who are waiting to get in.
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and we haven't received
24 hours notice, you may be charged for the full cost of the treatment booked with your Therapist.
During your first appointment
We kindly ask everyone to thoroughly complete the client intake form sent to your email address provided upon booking.
RMTS are Oath-taken Health Care Practitioners that need to know and understand the reasons for your visit. Do your best to answer all questions and if they need to, they will follow up with you to get exact information during your initial appointment. The more questions they have to ask, the less hands-on time will be provided during your first appointment. This intake form is to benefit you for best results during the treatment.
The RMTs may also perform some range of motion and other tests to pinpoint issues in your body. Once completed, your RMT will discuss with you his/her findings as well as a treatment plan.
The RMT will leave the room so you may undress and lay down on the massage table between a set of sheets.
You will be draped with a sheet at all times and only the area being directly treated will be uncovered.
After the treatment, your RMT may discuss stretching and strengthening exercises to perform at home as well as
using ice / heat and possible changes in routine that aggravate your injury.
Here are some types of massage therapy techniques offered at our clinic:
Swedish Massage
A Swedish massage is a form of massage therapy that focusses on the entire body. This type of massage is excellent for those who are looking to relax or those with minor pain.
Deep tissue massage
Those with chronic muscle pain and tightness may benefit from deep tissue massage therapy as it targets the deepest layers of the muscles and connective tissues to relieve tension.
Sports massage
If you have suffered injuries due to sporting activities or any other actions that involve the repetitive use of specific muscles, sports massage therapy might help to alleviate your pain and discomfort.
Trigger point massage
If you have muscle tightness in one part of your body, causing pain in other areas, trigger point massage therapy may be an effective treatment option.
Prenatal massage and Postnatal massage
Pregnancy can cause stress, body aches and muscle tension. If you are experiencing any of these pregnancy symptoms, prenatal massage therapy can offer some relief while you relax comfortably on our specially designed pregnancy pillows that cradle your belly without putting too much pressure.
Women can begin massage at any point during a pregnancy, however, our therapists do not recommend before the second trimester. We may ask your doctor's approval for treatments in the first trimester. If you have any questions or would like to have a massage before the second trimester, please contact us.
Our Therapists do NOT accept patients with open WorkSafe BC files, previously know as Workers Compensation Board.
