Here are some massage therapy techniques we offer:

Swedish Massage
A Swedish massage is a form of massage therapy that focuses on the entire body. This type of massage is excellent for those who are looking to relax, destress and/or those with minor pain.

Deep Tissue Massage
Those with chronic muscle pain and tightness, this modality may be beneficial as it targets the deepest layers of the muscles and connective tissues to relieve tension.

Chronic Pain
Massage therapy may assist with reducing discomfort related to chronic pain through several processes. The pressure and release of massage stimulates the body to reduce cortisol (the stress hormone) and increase serotonin and dopamine (mood stabilizer hormones). A Registered Massage Therapist works with you to target these muscles, loosening them and improving your mobility. In turn, that can also relieves pain.

Sports Massage
If you have suffered injuries due to sporting activities or any other actions that involve the repetitive use of specific muscles, sports massage therapy might help to alleviate your pain and discomfort.

Trigger Point Massage
If you have muscle tightness in one part of your body causing pain in other areas, trigger point massage therapy may be an effective treatment option.

Prenatal and Postnatal Massage
Pregnancy can cause stress, body aches and muscle tension. If you are experiencing any of these pregnancy symptoms, prenatal or postnatal massage therapy could offer some relief while you relax comfortably on our specially designed pregnancy pillows that cradle your belly without putting too much pressure on your organs. Women can begin massage at any point during pregnancy unless otherwise specified by their healthcare practitioner.

Myofascial Release Therapy
Myofascial release therapy is a type of massage that is ideal if you have an overly tight muscle that restricts your movement. Sometimes this tightness can occur in a spot where you had surgery or an old sports injury. During myofascial release therapy, your massage therapist will apply steady pressure to the area for several minutes at a time. This technique will allow the muscle groups to completely soften and stretch out, thereby promoting improved movement patterns.
